La afición no falló a Ángel Nieto en su último adiós, miles de moteros venidos de muchos puntos de la geografía española acudieron al evento, y entre ellos, como no podía ser de otra manera, varios miembros de nuestro club: Honda MBX
Para el Maestro, la nuestra era la mejor afición del mundo y quedó demostrado tras el multitudinario homenaje celebrado en Madrid. Esto sin duda, está al alcance de muy pocos.
Llenazo espectacular en la explanada del Santiago Bernabéu y en la pelouse del Jarama, puntos de salida y llegada de una caravana que congregó más de 30.000 motos. La comitiva fue descomunal, una pasada. Se veían motos hasta donde alcanzaba la vista y hordas de espectadores poblaban el lateral de La Castellana, grabando con sus móviles, sacando fotos y aplaudiéndonos. Más adelante, sobre los puentes de la carretera de Burgos, camino del Circuito del Jarama la gente se apelotonaba para ver pasar las motos como si de un espectáculo único se tratase. Y no era para menos.
Parecía un gran premio y, aunque sin carreras, en realidad lo era, gracias a que numerosos integrantes del campeonato, bien en activo o ya retirados, acudieron a la cita.
Emocionante ver allí a muchos de los grandes: Agostini, Aspar, Crivillé, Gibernau, Puig, Pons, Alzamora, Lavado, Cecchinello, Olivé, Arenas, Lorenzo, Martín, Vierge, Mir, Rabat, Bautista, Barberá, Rins, los Espargaró, Pedrosa, Maverick y Márquez, más Ezpeleta (CEO de Dorna) e Ippolito (presidente de la FIM).
Destacar el encuentro con algunos miembros del Club MBX BCN, con los que coincidimos por casualidad de camino al circuito.
Especialmente queremos dar las gracias a Alex Crivillé por la dedicatoria que hizo para nuestro Club. Las MBX, le traen buenos recuerdos al primer campeón español de la categoría reina!
Sin duda, un día que recordaremos el resto de nuestra vida….
